We’ve got some incredibly exciting news to share and we thought it worth of a blog….
We’re thrilled to announce that The University of Chester Sustainability Unit has received the Environment Award* at the prestigious Educate North Awards.
The award was given to the Sustainability Unit for its Green Chester campaign with Do Nation. During the campaign the sustainability team at Chester used our platform to engage their staff and students in a fun and open way while embedding sustainability into the culture of the University.
Head of Sustainability at the University, Alice Elliott, said: “It was a boon to be recognised for our hard work, next to such talented and successful colleagues. I hope this helps to prove that sustainability is being mainstreamed into our University, and the northern education sector, in partnership with the most innovative enterprises in industry.”
Hermione Taylor, Founding Director of Do Nation, said: “Chester was the first University to sign up to Do Nation and have continued to impress us with their energy and dedication. I’m really happy to see the University being recognised for this and hope it paves the way for others to emulate their success.”
