We’re going social.
Big news first up. We’re making ourselves more social – you can now create an account by logging in with Facebook or link your existing account to Facebook with one simple click.
Breathe a sigh of relief for this means no more fiddling around thinking of a new password . It’ll even pull through your profile picture, completing your account with ease (but fear not – we won’t ever do anything creepy like post to Facebook as you).
Our Do Actions just got better.
Our Do Actions are our pride and joy. We want them to be a resource that you can draw on to make those pledges that little bit easier.
To that end we’ve made some changes. When you hit the page you’ll not only see a smart new banner image, but also quick links to the different parts of the Do Action.
It’s pretty important to know why you should take action. We’ve now made sure that at a glance you can see the big reasons you should act. If you want more depth on one, click on it and we’ll take you to that part of the page.
Last but not least is something completely new to the Do Action pages, we’ll be featuring the comments and stories from successful pledgers along with the impact of that Do Action. So when you complete your next pledge, be sure to share your reactions and advice – it might end up in the spotlight!
Know someone who you think should be using Do Nation? Refer them with our nifty new tool (it’ll do all the hard work of sending the emails for you). As well as the karma boost that comes from helping us to help make the world a better place, if someone you recommend signs up to our Pro or Plus tiers, you’ll receive a mystery prize from one of our fab partners.
Simple pledge confirmations.
No longer will you need to login to our site to confirm your pledge, simple follow the link in the email and let us know how you got on. One less step between you and your status as a Do Hero.
Coming soon…
If that isn’t quite enough, this is what to look out for soon:
- Make a bunch of pledges at the same time: no more going back and forth and confirming your account before you get stuck in and Do. For those of you using Do Nation at events this should make your task a bit simpler.
- Re-vamped, carefully curated pledge support.
- Assigned users: allowing you to pre-create user accounts for your employees, vastly improving their user experience.
- And one really big, exciting change that we’re keeping under (slightly see-through) wraps for now…
That’s all for this month folks. Do let us know what you think of our improvements and what you’d like to see next.
If you have any questions you can reach me directly at Nick@WeAreDoNation.com or tweet us @The_DoNation and I’ll get right back to you.
