Pledge Fantastic unplastic โ™ป๏ธ for Plastic Free July

Plastic is everywhere. It doesnโ€™t need to be. We can be part of the solution this July by refusing to use single use plastic.

๐Ÿคธ๐Ÿฝ Doing it ๐Ÿคธ๐Ÿฝ

  • Having a picnic? Ditch disposables – use reusable cutlery and straws, and bring your food in reusable containers.
  • Find your nearest zero waste shop with this map and refill your jars and cleaning product bottles.
  • Audit your hygiene essentials – switch to shampoo bars, soap bars, reusable razor heads, and bamboo toothbrushes!

๐Ÿ™Œ Done it ๐Ÿ™Œ

  • Avoid synthetic clothes where possible – or buy a GUPPYFRIEND Washing Bag to help stop the microfibres from making their way to the ocean.
  • Be bold – ask your favourite takeaway place to put your order in your reusable containers, instead of collecting more plastic containers and bags.
  • Get your milk delivered by a local milkman.

Pledge to Tap it ๐Ÿ’ฆ to reduce single use plastic

In 2020, approximately 2.54 billion litres of bottled water were consumed in the UK. It doesnโ€™t need to be this way.

๐ŸŒฑ New to it ๐ŸŒฑ

  • Buy a reusable water bottle and start using it. Our favourite bottles are from Give me a tap.
  • Find refill spots around the UK with this app.

๐Ÿคธ๐Ÿฝ Doing it ๐Ÿคธ๐Ÿฝ

  • Specifically ask for โ€˜Tap waterโ€™ next time you are in a bar or restaurant.

๐Ÿ™Œ Done it ๐Ÿ™Œ

  • For those long journeys, camping trips or picnics take a collapsible water container in case there are no facilities to fill your bottles.

Cook social ๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿฝโ€๐Ÿคโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿผ for International friendship day

There is almost no better feeling than sharing a meal with friends, family, or colleagues. What makes it that bit sweeter? Itโ€™s good for the environment too!

๐ŸŒฑ New to it ๐ŸŒฑ

๐Ÿคธ๐Ÿฝ Doing it ๐Ÿคธ๐Ÿฝ

  • Pay it forward – find a cafe or restaurant where you can pay forward the cost of a coffee, lunch or dinner to help provide meals to people most in need, like Social Bite.
  • Donate food to a food bank.
