A big focus for us in Do HQ over the last few months is improving the way we both report on the impact your supporters create and how we help you communicate it.
To this end we’ve got two exciting new features to share with you.
A big focus for us in Do HQ over the last few months is improving the way we both report on the impact your supporters create and how we help you communicate it.
To this end we’ve got two exciting new features to share with you.
At the beginning of March we hosted a breakfast event at the wonderful Popup Patio, sharing our ten tips to help maximise the impact of your company’s sustainability week.
We were encouraged by the response to the event and, following the success of our behaviour change report, have written up our presentation into a new report sharing our tops tips to help your green week deliver real, lasting change.
Right from day one I’ve been a bit of a data nerd when it comes to our environmental and social impact at Do Nation.
Events from Earth Hour to World Environment Day, Health & Wellbeing Week to Fairtrade Fortnight all offer great opportunities to engage your staff in sustainability. But while some set the office a-buzz with conversations about sustainability, others fizzle out with no impact on attitudes or behaviours.
The Paris Agreement was a momentous landmark achievement, there’s little dispute over that. But it alone won’t solve the climate crisis, the 2°C (or even 1.5°C) target is still a long way off. That is even less disputed.
But one thing’s clear: if we’re to get there, it’s going to take us all.
We all need to act.
We’ve been looking ahead to university Green Weeks coming up this year and wondering how you can really get the most out of them, using the Green Week buzz to trigger meaningful and lasting action amongst your staff and students.
Our decision: to introduce some friendly, real-time competition to see which university can raise the most pledges and save the most carbon.
We’re thrilled to have been named app of the year at the inaugural BusinessGreen technology awards last week. So a massive thank you to our clients, supporters and every person who has made a pledge or taken on a challenge.
This is what BusinessGreen had to say about why they picked us:
The judges were hugely impressed by the Do Nation’s innovative approach to drive green behaviour change, as well as its harnessing of gamification principles and social media to deliver real world reductions in users environmental impacts.

Ok, so there isn’t anything especially scary about Do Nation – but bear with me, it’ll be fun I promise.
While we took a break to carve ourselves a Do Pumpkin, we made lots of changes and improvements that you shouldn’t miss out on.
We’re going social.
Big news first up. We’re making ourselves more social – you can now create an account by logging in with Facebook or link your existing account to Facebook with one simple click.
Breathe a sigh of relief for this means no more fiddling around thinking of a new password . It’ll even pull through your profile picture, completing your account with ease (but fear not – we won’t ever do anything creepy like post to Facebook as you).
Whilst we’re all about encouraging behaviour change and healthy environmentally friendly habits, we realise we aren’t always clear enough about exactly what we do. So we thought we’d share some real concrete examples of the different things you can do with Do Nation.
